History of Kadri Manjunatha Temple
Kadri Temple has a rich history dating back to over 1,000 years. It is believed to have strong links with Nath tradition and Buddhist influence in ancient times. The presence of ancient bronze idols, especially the Lokeshwara statue, highlights the temple’s historical importance.
The temple later became an important Shaiva center and is now dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Manjunatha.
